Federal Polytechnic Ad0-Ekiti gets new rector

The Federal Government on Tuesday appointed Dr Dayo Oladebeye as the sixth substantive  Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti (FPA). The appointment of Oladebeye was disclosed in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti. According to the ‎statement, Dr Oladebeye was appointed ‎on March 1, in a letter signed by the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu. Adamu, while handing over the appointment letter to Oladebeye, and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Chief Austin Edeze, advised the new rector to rule with the fear of God.  Newsmen report that Olade‎beye was the acting rector before the new appointment, following the expiration of the tenure of the immediate past rector, Dr. Taiwo Akande. Christ's School, Ado Ekiti is a day and boarding, government-owned secondary school located in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria. The school is a coeducational school with the girls' section located directly opposite the boys' section. The school was founded on 30 June 1933 by the British missionary, Archdeacon Henry Dallimore, it was originally christened 'Ekiti Central School,' a co-educational secondary school, taking students into classes V and VI. It was renamed 'Christ's School, Ado Ekiti' by Sir Bernard Henry Bourdillon, the governor of then Northern and Southern Protectorates of Nigeria.
