The House of Representatives during Thursday plenary session, urged Federal Government to revisit the establishment of Ekiti airport which was approved by President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011. The resolution was passed following the adoption of a motion sponsored by Segun Adekola, who harped on the need to attract foreign investors to the enormous tourism potentials in the state. According to him, former President during the State Visit to Ekiti state in 2017 gave technical approval for the establishment of airports in Bayelsa, Delta, Gombe and Ekiti States. He observed that the establishment of the airport remains an integral part of economic infrastructure which contributes significantly to the economic growth, potential and development of any state or nation.
