NSCDC Officer Develops Security Alert App In Ekiti
A mobile application to alert the officers and men of the Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in the case of emergency has been developed by an officer attached to the Ekiti State Command, Mr. Adeoluwa Oyebode. The mobile app named “EkitiAlert”, according to Oyebode has been submitted to the NSCDC Commandant in the state for the use of the corps in its operations. Oyebode while speaking on the innovation said “EkitiAlert is an emergency security phone app developed to bring crime rate in Ekiti State to the lowest ebb, sequel to the modern definition of security as a function of response time to crimes.” The app, he further explained, “is a call directory of NSCDC Ekiti State Command formations across the state on a dial.” The app was presented to the state Commandant of NSCDC, Mr. Donatus Izuka Ikemefuna, for onward transformation to the national headquarters of the security agency.
